.Ph.D., professor. Master Degree of Science in
organic chemistry in 1993; R&D of UV-curing coatings and photosensitive
polymers in Hunan Yada Polymer Materials Co., Ltd, 1994-1999; Ph.D. in polymer
chemistry and physics , supervisor of graduate students from 2006.His
major research interest: UV-curing coating, resins for coating, and
photo-initiated ambient temperature controlled radical polymerization.
Developed various products, such as photo-curing coating for second generation
of resident ID card, photo-curing automotive lamp coating, amino acrylic resins
and PU-acrylic resins. Published more than ten papers relative to
above-mentioned fields, with SCI Impact Factor over 3.0: Chem Commun (2),
Macromolecules (6), Macromol Rapid Commun (1), J Polym Sci Polym Chem (3);
winning the First Prize in 11th Hunan Natural Science Excellent Paper;
participated or fulfilled 4 projects financially supported by National Natural
Fundation of China.

One of the pioneers of UV coating technology industrialization in Mainland
China. Accomplishing great in applied development of UV coating technology. UV
series products such as UV cured electronics protective coating in the charge
of Dr. Wu have won National Key New Products Certification and National
Scientific and Technical Achievement Certification, Second Prize in National
Science and Technology Award and Second Prize in Provincial Science and
Technology Award and also the honor of Provincial Outstanding Middle-aged and
Young Experts. In UV technology field, he owns 11 patents for invention and
dozens of science and technology papers.

Deputy
dean of the College of Chemistry, Xiangtan University, supervisor of Ph. D,
Visiting . graduate students, scholar at Montreal University, Canada in 2005,
Postdoctoral scholar at the Sussex University and Sheffield University of UK in
2002-2004, Posrdoc. scholar at University of Bayreuth of Germany in 2001-2002.
Fullfilled the national “85” key scientific and technological research
projects, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council of UK, R & D
funds from Rohm & Haas Company, German Research Association. Presently in
charge of 2 funds from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as
well as the setup-funding for returned oversea scholars and Ph.D. program from
the Ministry of Education, with 2 authorized national invention patents,
awarded the first prize of Scientific and technological progress from the
Education Committee of Hunan Province, the first prize of Chinese Association
for Science and Technology Analysis, and the first prize of the 11th Excellent
Academic paper from Natural Science foundation of Hunan Province. Dedicated to
environment-friendly room-temperature controlled radical polymerization, and
biomimetic smart polymeric materials. His work was reported in many
international academic meetings. In 2007, he was invited as the Chairman of
advanced materials Symposium of IUPAC advanced materials conference. During the
past five years, he published 26 SCI papers, 20 of which with SCI impact factor
over 3.0, in JACS, Macromolecules (10 papers), Chemical Communication (3
papers) and other journals.
